Scripture Lesson:Colossians 2:9-12
Preacher: John Meyer VII
Description: Thursday, October 22 Reading Colossians 2:9-12 Summary In this section of Colossians, Paul shows that Christ is head over every power and authority (v.10). Christ works through the government to establish order and peace. But, Christ also works through his church, to raise the spiritually dead into spiritual life, and give full and free forgiveness of sins through baptism (v.12). A Christian understands this working of God in the world and in our lives is all grace. Knowing this we can give all praise and honor to the one who sustains the world, but even more importantly, created and sustains faith in our hearts.
